Ayurveda products

Ayurveda is the oldest traditional health philosophy, originating in India and practiced for thousands of years. The word “Ayurveda” comes from Sanskrit and literally means “knowledge of life.” This holistic approach focuses on the balance of body, mind, and environment to promote health and well-being.

Central to Ayurveda is the concept of the three doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. According to this philosophy, these energies determine a person's physical and mental characteristics. When these doshas are in balance, a person feels healthy and energetic. According to Ayurveda, a disruption in this balance can lead to complaints or illness. Only when the disruption has been resolved does one feel healthy again.

Ayurveda utilizes various methods to restore balance, such as nutrition, herbs, massage, yoga, breathing exercises, and lifestyle advice. Treatment is always personal and tailored to an individual's unique constitution. Nutrition plays an important role in this, examining the effects of different foods on the doshas. In addition to physical health, Ayurveda also focuses on mental peace and emotional balance. Stress reduction, conscious living, and following a natural rhythm are important components of this lifestyle. As a result, Ayurveda is viewed not only as a medical tradition but also as a philosophy of life aimed at balance and well-being.

The three doshas can be brought into balance using various tools. One of these is Himalayan salt: according to Ayurvedic teachings, it has a balancing effect on the doshas, particularly Vata and Kapha. It is considered "sattvic" salt, which means it contributes to clarity, harmony, and calm digestion. Unlike heavily processed table salt, the body is said to be able to process it more easily.

Another tool is a tongue scraper. According to the Ayurvedic view, a layer of waste products (ama) accumulates on the tongue overnight. This layer can diminish the sense of taste, affect breathing, and be a sign of disturbed digestion. Scraping the tongue daily with a tongue scraper removes 'ama', which is said to contribute to a fresher feeling in the mouth and better oral hygiene.
